Fixed levels for stock demand can't predict
For shelf-constrained stock that demand forecasting gets wrong. Set them per item and location, in bulk or by CSV.
Some stock is limited by the shelf, not the demand
A forecast answers how fast something sells. It cannot answer how many will fit in the display, or how many the showroom should always have out. For those, a number you set yourself is simply more correct.
- Shelf and showroom capacity. Retail floors and studios often hold a fixed facing regardless of velocity. Top it back up to the number that fits.
- Slow and irregular movers. Items that sell in unpredictable bursts produce noisy forecasts. A floor and a ceiling are steadier.
- Coming from Stocky. Numeric min and max levels were a core Stocky workflow. If that is how your team thinks about stock, you do not have to relearn it to move across.

One active method per item, per location
An item at a location is either forecast-driven or min/max-driven, never a blend of both. That keeps the suggested quantity traceable to one rule you can point at.
- Mix methods across the catalogue. Forecast your steady sellers and set fixed levels on the rest. The replenishment table shows which method produced each row.
- Min only, max only, or both. A max alone tops an item back up to target. A min alone surfaces below-min attention without committing to a target quantity.
- Set them at any scale. Edit one item inline, apply to a filtered selection in bulk, or import and export the whole catalogue as CSV.
The same buy plan, either way
Forecast rows and min/max rows land in one replenishment table and feed the same purchase order actions, so nothing is planned in a second place.
- Fill the shelves. Generate order quantities that bring every item back up to its maximum level.
- Fill only what is below minimum. Restrict the order to items that have actually dropped under their floor, and top those back to target.
- Order the whole supplier catalogue. Pull in every product assigned to a supplier when you are placing a scheduled bulk order rather than reacting to a shortfall.
Common questions
Can one product use forecasting at one location and min/max at another?
Yes. The replenishment method is set per inventory item per location, so a warehouse can be forecast-driven while the retail floor runs on fixed levels for the same product.
Do min/max levels trigger alerts?
Yes. Reorder alerts can fire on forecast reorder points, on min/max levels, or on both. New alerts enable both triggers by default so nothing is silently excluded.
Can I import levels in bulk?
Yes. Levels export and import as CSV, and imports are validated before anything is written, so a malformed file tells you what is wrong instead of half-applying.
