Built from what you actually sold
Stockie reads your Shopify order history and builds a daily sales rate for every item at every location. You choose how far back it looks and how that history is grouped.
- Pick your lookback. Thirty, sixty, ninety, one hundred and eighty or three hundred and sixty-five days, or a custom date range when you want to model against a specific season.
- Account for days you could not sell. For products that stop selling when stock runs out, Stockie uses recorded in-stock days to adjust sales velocity. Products set to continue selling when out of stock use the full lookback period.
- Adjust demand you already know is coming. Increase or decrease the calculated rate by a percentage, globally or per variant, for a promotion or a quiet month the history cannot see.
- Group sales the way your stock moves. Attribute demand to the location that fulfilled the order, or pool it across all locations, depending on whether your warehouses serve separate regions or one pool.
- Bundles counted once, in the right place. Native Shopify bundles and Simple Bundles are detected automatically, so component products show combined demand from direct and bundled orders rather than looking like they never sell.
Two settings decide everything downstream
Lead time and safety stock are both expressed in days of cover, which is what makes the result explainable. Add them together and you have the reorder point.
- Reorder point = lead time + safety stock. A fourteen-day lead time and a seven-day buffer means Stockie flags the item when roughly twenty-one days of stock remain, whatever the sales rate happens to be that month.
- Restock-to sets the order size. The suggested quantity covers expected sales across the lead time, then brings you back to your target days of cover once the delivery lands.
- Supplier constraints lift the number. Minimum order quantities and pack sizes are applied at variant, option and product level, rounding up so what you order is something the supplier will actually ship.
- Set it once, override where it matters. Defaults apply store-wide, suppliers override the default, and individual variants override their supplier. Bulk-edit or import overrides by CSV.
Forecast the catalogue that deserves it
Not every SKU should generate a suggestion. Discontinued lines, drop-ship variants and one-off products just add noise to the list.
- Include and exclude by anything. Storewide, specific products, collections, or conditions on vendor, product type, tag and status. Exclusions run on the same rules.
- Untracked stock stays out. Items Shopify does not track inventory for never appear as out of stock and never generate a suggestion.
- Stock health at a glance. Every item is classified as healthy, at risk, out of stock or overstocked, so the list can be filtered to just what needs a decision.
Common questions
Is this AI or machine learning?
No, and we are careful not to imply it. Stockie computes a daily sales rate from your order history and applies your lead time, safety stock and restock-to settings. Every suggestion decomposes into those inputs, which is why we can show you the arithmetic instead of asking you to trust a model.
How long before the suggestions are any good?
Stockie imports your existing Shopify order history on install, so the first forecast runs against real sales rather than starting from zero. Items with very little sales history will always be harder to forecast than steady sellers, which is what min/max levels are for.
Will it change my settings automatically?
No. Suggestions stay suggestions. Lead time, safety stock, restock-to and any min/max levels only change when you change them, in the app or by CSV import.
Can different products use different settings?
Yes. There is a store-wide default, a per-supplier override and a per-variant override, applied in that order of precedence. You can edit them individually, in bulk, or by importing a CSV.
